Green Dogs

Course-Ready Dogs

“A man’s best friend is his dog” has never been more accurate - especially in today’s security landscape, where highly capable working dogs stand beside their handlers to counter threats posed by criminals, extremists, and hostile actors. At Lupus Canine Support Services Ltd, we supply course-ready dogs selected and prepared to meet the demands of defence, law enforcement, and specialist security operations.

Our green dogs undergo a comprehensive assessment process to ensure they possess the stability, drive, and operational suitability required for deployment in high-pressure environments. Each candidate is evaluated against strict criteria, including:

  • Bold but controlled temperament – confident under pressure without unnecessary aggression.
  • Inter-animal sociability – capable of working safely around other dogs, livestock, and operational teams.
  • Transport adaptability – comfortable in military and police vehicles, aircraft, marine platforms, and confined spaces.
  • High, sustainable search drive – consistent motivation to hunt, search, and locate target material with reliability.
  • Distraction resilience – able to maintain focus during weapons fire, crowd movement, alarms, machinery, and high-noise environments.
  • Obstacle negotiation and agility – capable of manoeuvring through rubble, stairways, tight spaces, and varied terrain.
  • Operational fitness – physically robust and conditioned for demanding fieldwork.

We understand the stakes involved in military, police, and private-sector deployment. For that reason, we do not offer for sale any dog we would not confidently deploy ourselves. Every canine reflects our commitment to readiness, reliability, and operational excellence.

Whether for explosive detection, narcotics detection, patrol duties, capability, or specialist security roles, our course-ready dogs provide a trusted foundation for advanced training and operational integration.

Trained Dogs

At Lupus Canine Support Services, we provide specialist canine training delivered by personnel with extensive military, police and private sector experience. Our trainers and handlers have operated in numerous countries including the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, bringing a depth of operational knowledge that underpins every aspect of our work.

Across many agencies worldwide, the working dog is regarded as a vital asset in the fight against crime and terrorism. A correctly selected and trained specialist canine offers one of the most effective, mobile and reliable means of detection available today.

Our training programmes are conducted in realistic, simulated environments at off-site live venues such as stadia, warehouses and public transit facilities. Throughout their training cycle, all of our dogs are regularly tested and are independently assessed to ensure they meet the highest operational standards.

General Patrol Dogs

Our patrol dog programme is comprehensive and demanding. Training includes obedience (both on and off lead), tracking and handler protection. Only dogs that demonstrate confidence, control and the ability to operate safely and systematically progress through our programme.

Explosives Detection Dogs

A fully trained explosives detection dog will search for and indicate the presence of explosive materials using a controlled, non-invasive indication. Working alongside our EOD professionals, our dogs are exposed to a wide range of live,  Military, commercial, industrial and homemade explosives, in varying quantities, ensuring real-world capability and reliability.

Narcotics Detection Dogs

Our narcotics detection dogs are trained in all aspects of interdiction. Their duties include building searches, vehicle screening and scanning individuals entering venues or transportation hubs. They are capable of operating within airports, cruise terminals, rail facilities and other public environments, providing an effective and highly mobile detection capability.
